Week 9 - Match-ups

The Bye's finally caught up with me this week, and looking through the teams I'm not alone. I logged in on Wednesday to find five players on Bye's and another with an injury concern. Last minute horse-trading and I think I'm ok, even if my projection doesn't agree - more on that later.

Lighties (126.8) v Marcy (127)

Neck and neck projection at this stage; this game will most likely be decided Tuesday afternoon with both Coaches starting key players in the late game. The Lighties have a two-game losing streak at the moment, Marcy dropped just her second game of the year last week.

Endless (106) v Agent P (103)

Another closely matched game, although the two D's are currently contributing nothing for both teams. Agent P has yet to add the Giants D to her active line-up, and Endless needs to swap her Bye'd Texans out. With no spare D on the team a trip to Free Agency will be required.

Farnsworths (103) v BB (98)

With three coaches 4-4 breathing down the Farns 5-3 neck he needs to take advantage of the early projection and take the W. BB is rocking two Bye'd players on Friday morning, so when those are swapped out he will no doubt take the projected lead. The Farns has the favourable QB match-up, Ryan @SF over Manning @Indy. But BB has been riding Freeman and Jones all year and they are being fed by Ryan. Classic fantasy paradox, my players scoring well means my opponent is scoring well.

Breesus (122) v Zim (77)

Breesus is either feeling really confident or there wasn't anyone left, picking up the Saints D this week. I suspect the latter, as the Giants D was taken, as were the Raiders. Zim is looking at Bye Shock this week, needing to go to Free Agency for a new TE - never an easy thing to do this late in the week.

Doof (70) v The General (107)

A rather embarrassing point spread, one in which I disagree vehemently with. Watson at 1.6, Harris at 1.4 and Forbath at 0? Pft! Victim of the projections not being updated recently. Watson has 50 points over the last 4 weeks, Harris ass 30 and Forbath only recently signed with the Saints. I demand a recount. Screw it, I'll just take the field and leave the General a game shy of activating The Gardener, yeah I saw it - a three-game winning streak. Time to nip this in the bud.
