Week 1: Award Ceremony

It's Award time, but the awards themselves are not ready yet. So I'll announce the winners and present the awards later.

Hypnotoad Award

For putting up the most points

The Hypnotoad Award is named for the Hypnotoad, renowned for mesmerising his enemies and compelling them to do his bidding.

In Week 1 there was one Head Coach that stood out and looked like he'd been playing for years, not like his first game in his rookie season: Bradysbrothers.

Bradysbrothers posted 115.66 points in his first game, mesmerising Zim and avoiding the Doomydooms that were coming his way. Congratulations on topping Week 1!

Mission Accomplished

For leaving the most points on the bench in a losing side

The Mission Accomplished Award is named for the 2003 speech given by George W Bush announcing that the Iraq war was basically over and then sitting back and waiting for the kudos to come in. Instead of kudos, 11 years and now ISIS.

Congratulations to Endlessnessism for setting her Active side and thinking it was the bomb. Endless lost by 3 points but left a massive 88 points on the bench.

The Mission Accomplished Award is rather cruel, as befitting its origin. How was Endless to know that Bell would put up 25 points and Charles 3? Or Dez Bryant 5 and DeAndre Hopkins 15?  And Dalton's 18 points on the bench cannot replace Stafford's 30.

But it's not like Week 1 last year when a certain Head Coach left Peyton Manning on the bench, for Dalton, and Manning put up 50 points. FIFTY! That, and the rest of the bench, was 109 pints on the bench. I won't name names, but it's on the record...
