| Dead eyes; hidden knife; soulless; Lookout, its Farnsworth! |
Just like the lioness that after stalking its prey over the savanna launches herself and digs its claws into the supple hide of the young antelope, only to find the young antelope was waiting the entire time and pulls out a knife and cuts the lionesses heart from within her chest, then the young antelope eats the still beating heart while the lioness watches, and darkness descends over her eyes. Her young will not eat tonight, they are now prey to other predators, already a pack of hyenas approach, cackling. The young antelope does not care, with blood trickling down its chin it has a taste for predator flesh, it eyes off the other contenders and spots a platypus, far from home.
So it was on Monday afternoon as Zims Doomydooms fell to the Farnsworths by 0.04 points.
Zero Point Oh Four Points.
Zim was actually ahead for about 5 minutes, and then a play for negative yards at the end of the Patriots @ Falcons game reduced her points and settled the game score.
My heart bleeds (until my Week 5 column and then its game-on as its Doof v Zim).
And my heart rages as the Farnsworth's for once again bringing turmoil and pain into my house. *glare*
The game between the two League Leaders turned into a shoot out, with Agent P running rampant with 143 points, against the Lighties 109. Over the past few weeks Agent P has increased her score each week and sits atop the table at 4-0. The Lighties lick their wounds at 3-1.
Breesus was down by 10 points heading into the final game of the Round. The teams namesake, Drew Brees, put on a clinic and posted the highest fantasy score of the round. The King of the Drews proceed to 2-2 while the Doof's (1-3) consider how another week got busted up.
The Maidens (2-2) are back on the winning curve with a solid victory over Endless (1-3), despite having a wide-receiver not starting. With three of her core players on the bench with bye's, the rest of Endless's players decided not to bother.
The Forces handed Wooli another loss, to sit comfortably at 3-1. Wooli forgot to swap out his quarterback who was on a bye. A 20 point QB could have been the difference between the two teams. Wooli now sits at 1-3.
A reminder to all teams to manage player's bye rounds. Players may be their own worst enemies at times (Darren McFadden), but a bye is a guaranteed doughnut in the score column.
Award Ceremony
Hypnotoad Award
The award for the Most Points again goes to Agent P. This is the third week in a row, Agent P is certainly setting the bar high for everyone else.Mission Accomplished
The award for the Most Points Left On The Bench In A Losing Team goes to Ingoldstadt Illuminators, with 54 points. Those points were evenly spread across the players so I'm not sure that could have stopped the rout.Black Flag
The Week 4 Black Flag is awarded to Breesus for beating the projection by 36 points. Yeah, well done *sulk*Most Satisfying Player
The Week 4 Most Satisfying Player award also goes to Breesus for starting Drew Brees, who did have a standout, dominating game.
